Well, throw in one of the best shooter specials in Cape Town (six-for-four every night from 10pm onwards), a menu that boasts a tasty selection of North African-inspired grub and quirky décor features like Vespas for bar stools and a baby grand piano suspended from the roof and you have all the elements for a pre-Friday fiesta that will have you dancing on your table by the end of the night. 

“I get offended when people don’t stay past midnight. If they don’t stay, I feel as though I did something wrong,” says owner Lionel Liepaz.
