Cape Town’s Stormers go head-to-head with the boys from Down Under in this championship clash.
The race to the coveted Super Rugby title continues as the Stormers get ready for a showdown against the Melbourne Rebels at the Newlands Stadium on Saturday, 23 May 2015. Kick-off is at 7:10pm.
Our very own boys in blue have recently come off a win against the rising Brumbies, with their winning spirit being rewarded by a close 25 - 24 victory. However, despite the positive result, the team suffered a loss as captain Duane Vermeulen had a knock on the field and was replaced by Nizaam Carr. The Stormers are now sitting at number two on the log and will certainly want to maintain that successful streak.
On the other side, the Rebels are claiming the tenth spot on the logs but have been enjoying one of their best seasons. The boys from Down Under brought their fighting spirit to recent clashes and have won a number of times in this season. The Australian team will want to stake their claim in the Mother City so the upcoming clash plans to be a scorcher.
