Day of the Dead Halloween Festival

Listen to thumping bass and spooky beats with this ghoulish gig in the Mother City

Get down to the sickest tunes from some of Cape Town’s finest beatmakers and producers, while donning your best Halloween costume creation. The inaugural Day of the Dead Halloween Festival gets bopping for twelve hours of fun at the Daytona Venue in Killarney Gardens from Saturday, 31 October to Sunday 1 November 2015.

This upbeat jol will feature over 30 local acts, as well as an international performance in the form of Dutch EDM duo, Bass Modulators. The pair, who originates from Haarlem in the Netherlands, has become known for  hard-style beats, with catchy rhythms and pumped up bass lines.. Not only that, the international act will be joined by dubstep demon Grimehouse, psytrance guru The PsyNtist and more.

Those eager to attend are encouraged to put in some effort with their costumes as there will be plenty of best dressed prizes for the people who take this scary evening’s Halloween dress code seriously.

With the Haunted House indoor stage playing tricked out trance and the Massacre Stage blaring catchy beats outside, attendees will not be disappointed. Hang around the fireplaces for ghoulish activities or dig into some nice and naughty  nosh from the multitude of food stalls.

If you can’t make this Halloween shindig, be sure to browse our frightening Halloween overview filled to the brim with blood-curdling activities.
