Big Concerts is proud to announce that Coldplay will be performing a live concert for the first time ever in South Africa on Wednesday 5th October 2011 at Cape Town Stadium and Saturday 8th October at FNB Stadium Johannesburg. The tour is presented by 94.5 KFM, 94.7 Highveld Stereo and M-Net.
It has been annouced that The Parlotones have been selected as the support act for the Coldplay South African Tour!
Coldplay is undoubtedly one of the world’s best selling acts, with over 50 million album sales worldwide. They have won numerous awards through their career including six Brit Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, seven Grammy Awards and they have headlined major festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury and Isle of Wight Festival.
CEO of Big Concerts, Attie Van Wyk commented: ‘Coldplay is one of the most exciting British bands to ever visit our shores. After 10 years of knocking on the door, we are incredibly excited that they have finally confirmed two stadium shows. Their extraordinary live performances will be a first for audiences in South Africa’.
