Christmas Day at Zevenwacht Winery
Enjoy the paradisiacal setting of Zevenwacht Winery on Christmas Day 2008 while you leisurely partake of their fantastic Christmas Day buffet
Situated on the Stellenbosch Wine Route, Zevenwacht Winery – meaning Seven Expectations – is waiting to share a tantalising selection of delights with you when you visit them on Christmas Day 2008 at one of Cape Town's Wine Estates.
The tastefully decorated Zevenwacht Restaurant offers contemporary continental cuisine prepared to perfection and magnificent views of the tranquil lake and park-like gardens.
The children’s play park provides recreation for children and keeps them happily and safely entertained.
A Christmas Buffet Lunch will be served in The Manor House, The Lapa and The Alfresco and opens from 12h00 - 15h00. Picnic baskets can be collected from the picnic kiosk and opens from 11h00 - 15h00.
Christmas Buffet Lunch at Zevenwacht wine farm:
Starters: Freshly baked bread accompanied by chicken liver pate, snoek pate, peppadew dip and tzatziki, smoked salmon with lemon and black pepper and Vension Carpaccio with rocket, walnuts and peppedews.
Salads: Prawn Pasta Salad, Moroccan Couscous Salad and Zewenwacht Garden Salad with fig and walnut cheddar cheese.
Main Course: Roast Sirloin with rosemary gravy, Apricot and Mustard glazed Gammon, Roasted Turkey with a cranberry and almond stuffing, Vegetable Moussaka, Roast Potatoes, Savoury Basmati Rice, Glazed Butternut & Sweet Potato, Grilled Seasonal Vegetables and Cauliflower & Broccoli with cheese sauce.
Desserts: Banana & Caramel Trifle, Ice Cream with Strawberries & Chocolate Sauce and Traditional Christmas Pudding with Custard.
Tea / Coffee will be served with Christmas Mince Pies.
Christmas Baskets: Christmas Estate basket will cost R340 per two people sharing and contains Freshly baked bread accompanied by chicken liver pate, Sticky BBQ Chicken Wings, Prawn Pasta Salad, Moroccan Couscous Salad, Zewenwacht Garden Salad with fig and walnut cheddar cheese, Roast Sirloin with rosemary gravy, Apricot and Mustard glazed Gammon and Traditional Christmas Pudding with Custard.
Christmas Vegetarian Basket will cost R300.00 per two people sharing and contains freshly baked French loaf with tzatziki and peppadew dip, Mediterranean Vegetable Carpaccio, Spinach & Feta Quiche, Vegetable Couscous Salad, Chickpea, Lentil and Barley Salad, A Sun-Dried Tomato, Olive, Feta & Basil Pesto Wrap and Traditional Christmas Pudding with Custard.
Kiddies Christmas basket will cost R70.00 per child (For Kids 12 or under) and contains BBQ Chicken Wings, Garden Salad, Cheddar Cheese Roll, Rare Roast Sirloin, Chocolate and a Secret Gift.
