Children’s Mini Drama Festival at the Artscape Theatre

Keep your kids entertained these holidays as two new children’s theatre shows breathe new life into old favourites

Keep your little ones entertained these winter holidays with two brand new interactive children’s shows opening at the Artscape Theatre Foyer from Friday, 26 June 2015. More Adventures of Noddy and Fantastic Mr Fox form part of a mini drama festival hosted by Stagecraft Drama Studio with multiple showings throughout the winter break. Noddy will be showing from Friday, 26 June until Friday, 10 July and Fantastic Mr Fox will be on from Monday, 6 July until Saturday, 18 July.

More Adventures of Noddy is based on the beloved classic by Enid Blyton and brings your children’s favourite Noddy characters to life, such as Tessie Bear, Naughty Sly, Gobbo, Mr Plod, Big Ears and of course, Noddy. Follow the team on their adventure as they try to repair Noah’s Ark and raise money to feed the animals on board, while keeping the sneaky Goblins from stealing the money.

Another classic tale, Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl, is the story of the fox family who live underground. Mr Fox is a skilled thief and provider who steals chickens and cider for his family from the nasty nearby farmers, Boggis, Bunce and Bean, who all try their best to catch him. The kids will join in the action as they help Mr Fox outsmart the mean farmers.

Both shows are directed by Cheryl Abromowitz and Caryn Resnik. Before each show, your kids can enjoy a variety of activities, from face painting and colouring to puzzles and play tents. Don’t forget to encourage your little one to dress-up as their favourite character as well – they might win a prize for being the best-dressed.
