Cape Town International Jazz Festival 2009 Free Concert

Attend the free build-up concert to Cape Town's International Jazz Festival at Green Market Square

This year’s free concert
once again takes place at Greenmarket Square and starts at 5pm on 1 April 2009, which will encourage many city workers to remain in the city after work that day, avoiding that heavy homeward-bound traffic.

This well-attended event features some of the top headliners that will also be performing at the Jazz Festival.

The artists appearing at this year’s social and community gathering are 70’s Soul group, the Stylistics, along with The Incredibles, Nomfusi, Claire Phillips and Pete Philly & Perquisite.

This annual feature has become a permanent fixture on Cape Town’s social calendar and shows the Festival’s commitment to the community and the city.

LUNCH TIME LIVE concerts also take place during the festival week – en route to this Free concert - in the centre of Greenmarket Square.
