The historic Bijou Cinema in Observatory is opening its doors to the public yet again. Meet the diverse artists that now occupy this space on Saturday 3 December 2011 from 11am – 11pm.
A wide range of art - from painting to performances, sculpture to artists’ books - is on show. Buy work, meet the artists behind the work, participate in performances or dance the night away to the beat of DJ Raymondo and Mr. Cat & the Jackal. Also to be seen is The Conspiracy of Clowns and Floris Coetzee on accordian. There will be foodstalls, cash bars, musicians and street art by Mak1one, Black Koki and others.
Participating artists are: Kilmany-Jo Liversage, Conrad Hicks, Selvin November, Elize Vossgatter, Dominique Mayer, Hanlie Coetzee, Liza Grobler, Norman O’Flynn, Christopher Swift, Christopher Slack in collaboration Dowon (Korea), Wonder, Swain Hoogervorst, Ray du Toit, Robert Weinek and AfrikaBurn. Conrad Hicks is also launching his first shop with art and utensils.
