South African A1 Grand Prix in Our City of Gold Johannesburg

A1GP World Cup of Motorsport has gone into partnership with the Gauteng Provincial Government for the hosting rights for the South African A1GP event to be held from 20 - 22 February at the Kyalami Grand Prix circuit in Johannesburg.

South African A1 Grand Prix fundi’s will be racing to our City of Gold to see the best drivers in A1 GP in action in 2009 The World Cup of Motorsport, A1GP will unite 23 countries in a competition where human bravery, skill and excellence determine victory.

Drivers will race identical single-seat cars. The deliberately equalised technology allows countries as diverse as the USA, Lebanon, France, China and South Africa to compete on a level playing field.

The Motorsport event is three days of on-track action, an A1GP event offers a rare opportunity for fans to interact with teams and drivers, and the race in South Africa will be no different.

Exclusively inclusive, A1GP brings the thrill of international motorsport to billions of fans across the globe.
