Once-in-a-lifetime exhibition of Esther ...
On from February to August 2024; 100+ artworks
This Women’s Month, it’s good to take a moment to admire the strong South African female chefs reaching for the stars in a largely male-dominated field. That’s exactly what Table Bay Hotel’s Women’s Day feast on Thursday, 6 August 2015 is all about: giving kudos to the creative flair of the local ladies who are cooking up a storm around the country.
Spend a restful evening sitting back, sipping wine and relaxing while an all-star cast of talented female chefs cook you an unforgettable four-course dinner. Called together by Table Bay’s executive chef Jocelyn Myers-Adams, the lovely ladies include: Chef Veronica Canha-Hibbert from Ellerman House; Chefs Malika Van Reenen and Lorraine Meaney from the Cape Grace; Chefs Michelle Theron and Vicky Gurovich from La Motte, and Chef Annemie Steenkamp from Burrata and Bocca.
In a city where food is at the fore, it’s good to know that many of our cutting edge foodie establishments are in the capable hands of some of the Cape’s top lady chefs. The evening is an opportunity to honour their efforts, while also tucking into remarkable cuisine accompanied by outstanding wines. Guests can anticipate a fun night of food and friendship in the quaint setting of the historic hotel.
If you’re looking for other ways to celebrate fearless females this August then the Divas Unite Concert is a wonderful evening to attend.
TICKETS FOR THE 2015 WOMEN’S DAY FEAST AT THE TABLE BAY HOTEL
The four-course dinner costs R350p/p, which includes the accompanying wines. To book, please phone +27(0)21 406 5988 or email ilse.barnard@suninternational.com.
