Cape Town's Savoy Cabbage Celebrates Their 10th Anniversary

Eclectic hidden dining secret in Cape Town to celebrate 10 years with a fantastic dinner


If you are a cuisine fundi and looking for an excellent reason to indulge in good food this August in Cape Town, keep reading.

Savoy Cabbage at Heritage Square is celebrating a decade of Fine Food, Wine and service at the restaurant on the 15th and 16th this August.

The upmarket restaurant opened in August 1998 and despite the notoriously demanding Cape Town market, Savoy Cabbage restaurant is still going strong.

One of Cape Town’s most successful restaurants, the Savoy Cabbage has been featured in the London Times and the Telegraph, along with the New York Times, Wallpaper and US Gourmet Magazine.

For their 10th anniversary, they have decided to celebrate by doing what they do best and they have chosen dishes that over the years have been written about repeatedly, loved by many and despite the seasonal menu, are demanded constantly.

They are also representing the most popular menu items of the last 10 years.

No dinner at Savoy Cabbage should start without a glass of bubbles so join them for a glass served with your first round of canapés:

Salmon Shot, Parsley Salad, Blue Cheese on a Potato Crisp.
After ordering you will receive your 2nd Canapé of
White Haricot Bean Cappuccino with Truffle Oil.

A taste of what will be on the celebration menu:

Starters will range from tomato tart to crème fraiche and keta caviar.

For the Main you will be able to order anything from the Norwegian salmon with a horseradish crust, beetroot mash and a champagne butter sauce to a mushroom pancake stack with vegetable crisps and a thyme and tomato sauce.

End off your meal with a delicious Dessert for example, hot chocolate pancakes with coffee and kalhua sauce or cardamom crème brulee.
