The legendary Club Vibe is coming back to Cape Town!
Left for dead in 2002 after nearly a decade of engineering Cape Town’s most brain-bending parties, Club Vibe has been re-incarnated, re-loaded and is poised to re-launch with ‘Once Upon a Time’ at the Cape Town Convention Centre (CTICC) on Saturday, 20 October 2012.
For one night only, the headquarters of corporate conferencing in the Mother City will be transformed into a bass-bumping, schizophrenic strobe light-spinning grand nightclub. And in true marathon Club Vibe form, the party is set to stretch out over an unforgettable 12 hours.
Thus far, the Gods who set the benchmark with jaw-dropping jols in the 90s have started the wheels in motion to make for a cracker of a throwdown. They’re promising five individually themed entertainment arenas with twenty five selected artists, side show performers and dancers, a revolving main stage, concert grade audio, pyrotechnic cannons, lighting, lasers and production accents.
Not to mention, three-time Grammy Award-winner, DJ Jazzy Jeff is scheduled as the headline act, and in his wake will be hip hop legend, Mad Skillz. Additionally, DJ Mystique, resident DJ at some of the biggest dance festivals, takes over the electronica floors dishing up his signature blend of funky, driving electro beats, and Afroboogie, also known as Juniortek, will be heading up the house floor with his distinctive tech-house sound.
Supporting these international acts are some of SA’s best deck-scratching and stage-commanding artists, including: DJ Fast Eddie, DJ Codax, DJ Ready D, DJ Willy, Mi Casa (live), Jack Parow (live), Crazy White Boy (live), Leighton Moody, Erefaan Pearce, Ryan Dent, DJ Kent, Euphonik, DJ Zinhle, Dino Michael, Monique Pascall, Blush ‘n Bass, Das Kapital, Pascal and Pearce, Niskerone, Hyphen, SFR and Double Adapter.
Overall, exclusivity is the name of the game; a raised VIP area complete with private bars and exclusive access to bathroom and smoking terrace facilities will overlook the main arenas.
Even if don’t fancy yourself a "very important person" – or the tickets are out of your price range - you won’t have to queue for an hour to get a drink or see the loo.
Line-up for Cape Vibe Party 2012
Flex your dancing muscles and start preparing your stamina for the best 12 hours of your life, well, since the last Club Vibe party (you’ll likely remember coordinating your sleepover, pulling on your sweats and sneaking out to attend the jol).
