ASH is no more, but chef Ash Heeger has launched an exciting new eatery – see it here
ASH's doors are permanently closed. But Ash Heeger has just launched, in the same space, exciting new eatery Riverine Rabbit.
ASH restaurant opened its doors in 2016 and is going from strength-to-strength. The sleek design of the venue is alluring to say the least, but the food will get you falling in love with ASH forever! Whether it be a fancy dinner with your parents, a casual night out with some friends or an evening of sophistication; ASH hits the spot every time.
The menu published online serves as an example of what they can produce. You’re unlikely to get an exact replica of that when you visit. This is because the menu uses ingredients and spices to compliment the season, which means you’ll stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Nothing is better than your food matching your mood. There is no better way to start a feel-good evening than hearing that they are focused on sustainability and use free range products.
With a constantly changing menu, it is difficult to recommend a specific dish to order, however if you are lucky enough to arrive when the Lamb Ribs are on the menu, do not hesitate - order it immediately! The quality of food shines through in the way they make an effort with dishes. The lamb is slow cooked for three hours and then carefully basted in a hot sauce a minute or two before it is served. The calibre of meals created here captivates Capetonians and makes it one of the go-to establishments in Cape Town for every occasion
We love the spontaneity in the the menu changes, because that means you can go there all the time and never tire of the choices.
Tip: ASH keeps growing in popularity so we suggest you make a booking to avoid disappointment
Note: There is only street parking so be sure to arrive earlier than your booking to secure a spot for your car or catch an Uber.
Opening Times: Monday - Saturday: 10am - 10pm
81 Church Street | Cape Town | reservations@ashrestaurant.co.za for bookings
