Buy coffee beans, sit inside by the bar + order its Tokoloshe coffee
Last updated: 30 August 2022
Fancy a Tokoloshe coffee? What about a Skoli t-shirt? There’s a cheeky new coffee shop on Loop Street. It’s called Yebo Baba and uses South African lingo as the name for its coffee beans and merchandise. Even though it appears to be a little hole in the wall, it can’t be missed with its bright red exterior, pink bar and quirky logo.

Yebo Baba, located where the old Stellski café used to be, first opened on 29 August. It sells everything from cappuccino to Americano with two different blends for sale; Yebo Baba or Tokoloshe. You can also buy coffee beans or some cool merch in store (T-shirts and caps with Yebo Baba, Tokoloshe or Skoli designs on it).

Yebo Baba will also introduce pastries and rusks in the near future. Image: Lara van Zyl
Yebo Baba is open: Monday to Fridays, 7am - 4pm; Saturdays, 8am - 2pm
Find it: 59 Loop Street, Cape Town City Centre, where the old Stellski used to be
Price range: From R15 for coffee
