From banana bread to full-on breakfasts or hearty lunches
The Three Anchor Bay branch has the same interior decor and style as other Bootleggers. The classic neon writing on the wall reading “Get It Hot” across a dark grey wall sticks to the chain’s popular aesthetic.
But there’s a little (but important) something extra here. This branch is Cape Town’s first and only 100% halaal Bootlegger. It also has its own coffee roastery.
With less seating and smaller counter space to grab your goods and go, it’s an ideal stop-off on Sea Point Main Road for an emergency slice of banana bread or coffee.
BANANA BREAD AND FLAPJACKS
Besides coffee, Bootlegger also has daily baked goods like croissants, brownies and cookies, and they make a mean meal too. Breakfast dishes like vanilla oats, buttermilk flapjacks and mieliepap porridge with salted butter are what you can expect on the menu. Their banana bread is a must-try and a steal at R39 for two substantial slices. Customers also love their popular breakfast order of smashed avocado and hummus, two poached eggs and paprika on toast.
Lunch meals lean more on the hearty side with chicken schnitzel, lamb burgers, quinoa salads, buddha bowls and of course, classic wraps and sandwiches. And if you consider yourself a bit of a health nut (or you’re in need of a quick vitamin boost), Bootlegger serves fresh juices and health shots.
Or just come in for the coffee.
