British songstress Katie Melua will be doing a live concert in Cape Town this September as part of her 2008 world tour.
The concert at Grand West will mark the multi-platinum selling artist's second visit to South African shores, following her first appearance in the country at the Fancourt 46664 Concert in 2005.
Twenty-three year old Melua, who originally hails from the eastern European state of Georgia, shot to fame in 2003 with the success of her first album Call Off the Search.
Having sold 1.8 million copies of her debut album, Melua earned herself the title of Britain's highest selling female artist in 2004.
For many Capetonians Katie Melua’s concert in Cape Town will certainly be on the list of best concerts in Cape Town in September.
