What better way to kick off the weekend than with an exciting competition that involves drinking beer? At Randy Warthog Bar & Grill the game is on. And bonus: Your night out won’t break the bank – there’s affordable food and a daily 2-hour happy hour. Win or lose, you’ll have fun either way.

CHALLENGE YOUR FRIENDS TO A GAME 

Are you up for the challenge? Gather your friends, the ones with the best (or worst) aim, and head to this backpacker bar and grill inside Never at Home, a popular accommodation spot in Green Point. Entrance and joining in on the fun is free, just buy your own beer. To get things started, beer is on the house for the first game of the night. Win, and you’ll get SAB prizes, such as t-shirts, key rings and hats. Lose, and you’ll have to drink more beer than your opponents.

GO EARLY AND ENJOY HAPPY HOUR  

Get there before the games start and get extra bang for your buck at Randy’s daily 2-hour happy hour, which runs from 5pm till 7pm. Order drinks, grab a seat indoors and warm up with a game of pool. Or head outside and capture the perfect Instagram photo at the colourful wall. It’s graffiti art of a giant shark, a surfer catching a wave with iconic Table Mountain in the background, and a paragliding warthog.

BEAT THE HUNGER FOR R100 OR LESS 

Randy’s offers all the yummy food you crave when having a jol, from prego or boerie rolls and flame-grilled burgers to Sriracha chicken quesadillas, a variety of pizzas, chilli poppers and chips. You can even get a 200g sirloin steak with a fried egg and side of chips. The best part? Nothing on the food menu is over R100. Ka-ching!
