August events in Cape Town and surrounds

Much more happening in August than you think. Fancy that!

Though the end of winter’s within plain sight, August also sees the last of the cold fronts crossing the fair cape: thus, it’s one more wet and windy month until the sun comes out to play. But that doesn’t mean your social calendar needs to be filled with big red crosses to countdown the days until spring, get off the couch and get moving, there are plenty of events in August in Cape Town - from charity fun walks to baby expos and from food and wine festivals to flower shows.

AUGUST EVENTS IN CAPE TOWN AND BEYOND

Can you hear that? Get the latest on parenting advice and products for babes and tots, and don’t miss the hourly giveaways and the daily Takalani Sesame shows for the little ones at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

The 43rd annual Blisters for Bread charity fun walk is taking over the streets of Cape Town on Sunday, 26 August 2012 (starting at the Green Point Cricket Club) in an effort to raise funds for the Peninsula School Feeding Association (PSFA).
