The Nature-inspired Weaving Workshop is a fun event happening at the Botanical Bar in the city centre on Sunday 9 December 2018.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The introductory weaving workshop facilitated by textile artist Andie Reeves is a three-hour foray into basic weaving techniques. You’ll begin creating your own nature-inspired woven masterpiece on a DIY loom.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Andie Reeves has a background in fashion and has worked as a dressmaker, stylist, sewing teacher and fashion designer. She currently works as a writer/artist/preschool teacher. Her art is currently on exhibit at The Raptor Room and Cavalli Gallery. Andie is interested in textile art, especially weaving, embroidery and sewing and is passionate about imparting her knowledge.
THE VENUE
The Botanical Bar is an intimate venue that makes and serves drinks and food with a local, botanical twist. The menu is inspired by traditional South African dishes.
