Here's how it all started: Two Cape Town locals who have been part of the scene since the ‘90s saw the need for a safe space where the community could connect. Janine and Kelly quickly learned the ropes and since 2000, they’ve been throwing successful LGBTQI events where liberalism and good attitudes thrive.
The Unofficial Pink Party has an impressive following and has even been recommended by Lonely Planet.

THE VENUE AND ENTRANCE FEE
With an emphasis on being all-inclusive and welcoming to all, the entrance venue at Three Feathers Diner in Woodstock are wheelchair-accessible, however, the bathroom is small and awkward, so the wheelchair-bound will require assistance.
Parking is limited, so you are encouraged to share rides or use a taxi service.
The entrance fee of R50 is payable at the door (R30 with student card).
This is a monthly event, and the best place to keep up to date with venues and dates is the Unofficial Pink Party Facebook page.
