The Simon's Town Museum was established in 1977 by the Simon's Town Historical Society (Friends of the Simon's Town Museum) to collect and preserve the history of the Simon's Town community, past and present, with emphasis on its immense diversity of origins, cultures and religions.
And to highlight the significant role played by the Simon's Town community in maritime and global history and their connections to the VOC; Royal Navy and other nations around the world.
