Newlands Rugby Stadium will bring Super 14 Rugby Giants to Cape Town
Rugby is alive and kicking in Cape Town again this year, with many of the Super 14 matches being played at Cape Town’s Newlands Stadium.The 2008 Vodacom Super 14 gets underway this weekend in with several mouth-watering clashes in store during the opening round of matches. Locally the favourite team will of course be the Stormers.
With the 2008 Super 14 Season kicking off in Cape Town this weekend, you have the chance to support your team, not only on Saturday, but also at the many home matches to be played at Newlands Stadium.
In Cape Town the highlight is undoubtedly the clash between the reigning champions, the Vodacom Bulls, and arch-rivals Vodacom Stormers on Saturday at Newlands in Cape Town.
Whilst the Vodacom Bulls have dominated the more recent clashes between the two, it is however the home side that has held sway in their last 10 meetings in the tournament. The Vodacom Stormers have won six of the previous 10 since 1998 with one match being drawn and the Vodacom Bulls winning the last three.

The four Semi-finals for the Super 14 are on 23 and 24 May with the Final for the Rugby Super 14 taking place on 31 May to decide who will be the Super 14 Champions for 2008.
