This is an old event. Try the best Pho and Dim Sum in Cape Town at Yen's Vietnamese Street Food.
Come and unravel Cape Town's secret street food scene. The popular Street Food Festival is back and it's been expanded to include 10 days of festivities (1–9 September, 2018). Here's your chance to truly taste the Cape, discover the secret ingredients in some of your best-loved local specialities and hunt down those hidden food stalls serving the best-on-the-go snacks. Expect more vendors than before, lots of live music and crate talks – but more about that later! We'll be back in a few weeks with a list of vendors, ticket prices and further detail of individual events.
If there’s one thing that Capetonians really love, possibly even more than wine and rugby, it’s food. We’re always looking for a reason to eat it and celebrate it, from braais and trendy food markets to niche cooking workshops and restaurant food specials. And now – thanks to the annual Street Food Festival you can walk, talk, laugh, taste and snap your way through this celebration of diverse, gourmet cuisine prepared by unique food vendors. Prepare your stomachs people, this one is going to be a goodie.

This food fest is a discovery base for delicacies of all kinds, including proudly South African classics, authentic Asian cuisine and global fare such as good old American-style cheeseburgers and corndogs. The ingredients used are fresh and honest; all in all, this is uncomplicated, purely good food. You’ll get to explore the tastes of the world straight from a food vendor truck! The variety of food that awaits visitors is simply stunning. You can look forward to delectable food from top dog establishments.

CRATE TALKS
Several food entrepreneurs and a few of the long-established and successful players in the local food industry will host food-related talks. Keep a lookout for our update, which will have more details about what's happening when.
