From houseboats and beach cottages to natural bush chalets - it’s your choice
Imagine a weekend away from busy Cape Town: natural beauty, stunning views, a lagoon, tortoises aplenty and great accommodation: just an hour’s drive from Cape Town. Welcome to the West Coast National Park, one of South Africa’s paradises.
The 40,000 ha West Coast National Park provides a safe haven for thousands of seabirds – and for you a sleepover surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Abrahamskraal Cottage – in the middle of nowhere
This self-catering cottage is situated in the West Coast National Park, near the Abrahamskraal waterhole.
• Sleeps six: one bedroom with two single beds and two pull out beds and one bedroom with a double bed
• Two en-suite bathrooms (w/c and shower)
• Fully equipped open plan kitchen and living area
• Fireplace in the living area to use as braai or fireplace
• Electricity in the house is provided by solar energy
• Rates: The cottage can cost from R950 per night for up to four people with an additional R172 per extra adult and R86 per extra child.
Jo Anne’s Beach Cottage – lagoon views
This exclusive self-catering cottage is situated in the West Coast National Park near Churchaven, within walking distance of the blue lagoon.
• Three en-suite bedrooms sleeping eight persons
• Fully equipped (linen, cutlery and crockery)
• Open-plan living area and kitchen
• Braai facilities on the front stoep and in the backyard
• No electricity, you’ll be cooking with gas
• Rates: The cottage can cost from R1210 per night for up to four people with an additional R290 per extra adult and R145 per extra child.
Larus houseboat – an intimate getaway and the experience of a lifetime
This houseboat allows you to sleep in the turquoise waters of the Langebaan Lagoon at Kraalbaai in the West Coast National Park.
• Accommodates a maximum of six guests in two cabins (main cabin has a queen sized bed)
• High quality linen and bathroom towels are supplied
• Well-equipped open-plan kitchen and dining area
• Braai facility
• Rates: The houseboat costs from R1400 for four people per night.
Nirvana houseboat – group outing deluxe
This large houseboat is suitable for corporate groups, family holidays, special occasions and functions in the Langebaan Lagoon at Kraalbaai in the West Coast National Park.
• Consists of an upper and lower deck
• Accommodates up to 24 guests luxuriously
• Well-equipped open-plan kitchen and dining area
• Activities: fishing, swimming, beach fun, star-gazing
• Braai facility
• Rates: The houseboat costs from R7200 upwards for 12 people per night.
Duinepos chalets – be surrounded by the silence of nature itself
Duinepos accommodation is based inside the West Coast National Park in natural bush, alongside the sand dunes, 15km away from the lagoon.
• Fresh West Coast-style chalets, built in an eco-friendly method out of sand bags
• 11 chalets; each unit sleeps four people comfortably and allows for a maximum of six people
• Each chalet offers two bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen, lounge, fireplace, shower and toilet and an outdoor braai area
• Two of the chalets are wheelchair friendly
• Other facilities include a swimming pool, communal braai and boma area
• Rates: A chalet can cost from R850 per night for up to four people with an additional R100 per extra adult and R50 per extra child (under 12 years).
Applies to all West Coast National park accommodation:
• Tap water comes from a well-point and is safe to drink
• Guests must bring their own fire wood
• The nearest shops available are at Langebaan (no electric points, no firewood or charcoal for sale in park)

Postberg opens during August and September (flower season) 9am – 5pm
