Premium Sports Bar’s Sixth Birthday Bash

Sneaks and peaks and a lot of beats!

Birthdays are always a special occasion, especially for the way they bring people together for a celebration. All roads lead to Mitchells Plain when Premium Sports Bar celebrates its sixth birthday on Sunday, 30 July 2017.

The sports bar in Westridge has become a favourite hangout for Capetonians. It is especially loved for the stage it created for up-and-coming hip hop artists. “We want to create a platform for these artists to be recognised and to receive the exposure they don’t otherwise receive,” says manager Naeem Hussain. Youngsta and DJ Ready D, in particular, have played a key role in establishing the bar’s position on the local hip hop scene. “We have collaborated with Team Beeza at our events and so far it has been successful,”  owner William Goliath explains. The idea of hip hop evenings and open mics have been well received, with people from various areas in Cape Town streaming to partake and enjoy the entertainment.

Hip hop fanatics need to prepare themselves for a raw hip hop celebration with plenty of dope beats. The floor will be open for everyone to just have a jol while DJs like Muffin Man and Travis Michaels keep the beats flowing throughout the venue. The host for the evening will be Yuzriq Meyer, radio DJ at Bush Radio, who will definitely add more than a little humour to the event. The bar will keep your thirst quenched whenever you need a break from the dance floor, and the chefs will see to those hunger pains with their specialty – pizza!

You will be excited to hear that the Cape Crusader, Youngsta CPT, returns to Mitchells Plain to headline the evening’s acts.
