Make the most of the remaining sunny days in this spectacular city we call home and celebrate Family Day with your favourite local musicians and artists. The annual Parklife Music and Gourmet Street Food Festival is returning to the Green Point Cricket Club on Monday, 17 April 2017 for one last summer hurrah.
The Parklife festivals are fast becoming highlights on the Mother City’s summer circuit calendar, and music-loving Capetonians can certainly look forward to another brilliant show amidst a lovely setting. From the foxy folk tunes of the handsomely bearded Mr Loops and the gentle croons of Matthew Mole to electro indie rock hits from the genius Gangs of Ballet and the powerful vocals of Francois Van Coke, there’s something for all musical tastes at this fabulous family-friendly affair.
If the teeming line-up of talented artists isn’t enough to whet your appetite, then tempt your taste buds with some of the delectable and decadent street food on offer at The Village. Fill-up on gourmet snacks from the multiple food trucks and stalls on-site and energise your body in preparation for the day’s festivities. Revellers can also quench their thirst from one of the drink stalls, and festival-goers are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and camping chairs so that they can chill out and take a break from the dancefloor.
