Race Schedule Volvo Ocean Race 2008 to include Cape Town
The race of all races will bring the yachts of all yachts to Cape Town again in 2008
The Volvo Ocean Race is coming to Cape Town again. After a successful visit to Cape Town in 2005/6, Cape Town is set to become the tavern of the seas again with dates set for November 2008.Starting with an In-Port Race on 04 October 2008 in Alicante, and the first leg starting from Alicante on 11 October 2008 to Cape Town.
A leg of 6,500 nautical miles will bring the Volvo Ocean Race to Cape Town.
On 15 November the brat pack of Volvo Ocean Race yachts will depart from Cape Town for a 5,100 Nm leg to the Middle East.
