Top hip-hop performer set to rock Mzansi with slick rhymes and badass beats this February!
While everyone is hating on rapper Kendrick Lamar for calling out the entire hip-hop nation and declaring himself the “King of New York” in his verse on Big Sean’s ‘Control’, South African fans starving for his brand of smart hip-hop will be delighted to hear that the Los Angeles-born artist will be landing on our shores in 2014 to perform three concerts thanks to Miller Genuine Draft and Miller Boomtown.
The 26-year-old critically acclaimed wordsmith will bring his dope beats and clever rhymes to local audiences at the Belville Velodrome in Cape Town on Sunday, 9 February; at Johannesburg Stadium on Saturday, 8 February; and at the Durban Wave House on Friday, 7 February 2014.
Kendrick Lamar is best known for hits like ‘Swimming Pools (Drank)’, from his 2012 album “good kid, m.A.A.d city”, and ‘HiiiPoWeR’, from his studio debut “Section.80” released in 2011.
