The Godfather of modern cooking comes to Cape Town
Last Updated 5 April 2017
The Good Food & Wine Show has announced that for their 2017 event they will be welcoming acclaimed culinary genius, Marco Pierre White. The british chef, restaurateur and famous tv personality has sparked great excitement when he confirmed his attendance.
Dubbed the Godfather of modern cooking, he was the first celebrity chef and youngest to ever be awarded three Michelin stars which he still holds presently. It is therefore no surprise that Capetonians are ecstatic about his arrival. Interestingly enough he has also trained famous chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Mario Batali, Shannon Bennett and Heston Blumenthal. If you're an avid Master Chef fan, you would recognised some of these names.
The Good Food & Wine show is one of South Africa’s most prominent events which aims to showcase products to sponsors, partners and exhibitors. The show is divided into sections including Market, Street Food, Gourmet, Baking, Kids, Wellness, Lifestyle, Wine and Beer & Alcohol. There has always been a cross-cutting theme for each event and this year’s theme is Food Waste which is one of the current challenges for sustainability and social growth in the food industry.
