Nazareth House is a Non-Profit-Organisation (NPO) with facilities in Vredehoek and Elsies River. The homecare was founded in London by Victoire Larmenier. Their aim is to provide a caring, loving and secure home environment for abandoned, neglected, disabled and orphaned children.

What they do
Nazareth House is a registered Child and Youth care facility that can accommodate up to 64 children. The facility is also able to provide specialist care for children with terminal illness and or severe chronic conditions as well as therapeutic activities by the full-time occupational therapist and specialised social workers.
Nazareth has also provided residential care for aged men and women in desperate need. Many of the residents are wheelchair bound, blind and/or deaf and suffer from dementia, diabetes or hypertension.

How can you help
Nazareth house is heavily dependent on support from the community. The public can assist by donating according to the needs of the NPO or a cash donation will gratefully be accepted as well. There are volunteering work available for individuals that would like to lend a helping hand at Nazareth house. Volunteers will help with the babies and reading to the elderly.

The facility is currently in need of the following items:
Lactogen 1,2 and 3 1.8-kg tins
Nido 3 – 1.8-kg tins
Nestum porridge from 6-months up.
Nappies – all sizes for babies and toddlers including adult small and medium for cerebral palsy children.
Baby creams
Baby wipes
First Aid Kits
Karvol/Puma
Vicks vapour rub
Teejel
