Find Out What's Happening This Saturday Plus How To Audition (+ Video To Enjoy)

Show off your talents at a presenter search and you could land yourself a spot at a popular music channel doing what you’ve dreamed of, hosting and interviewing the rich and famous.

On Saturday 28 July 2018, several celebrities will descend on Cape Town to judge the city’s talent and make a call on who goes through to the finals of the MTV Base VJ Search. The competition has unearthed talent such as Sizwe Dhlomo, DJ Fix, Nomuzi Mabena and last year’s winner Tshego Koke.

The judging panel consists of actress and TV presenter Boity Thulo, actor Thomas Gumede, Kelly Khumalo and 2017 MTV Base VJ Search winner and Cosmopolitan’s Sexiest Man 2018 contestant Tshego Koke.

MEET THE JUDGES

The auditions will take place until Sunday 29 July 2018. Doors to the Castle of Good Hope, where the auditions will be held, open at 9am and close at 4pm.

The winner of the 2018 MTV Base VJ Search will receive a 12-month contract with MTV Base, a car valued at R300 000 and also stand a chance to host MTV Base show, interview stars, MC events, attend international awards shows, walk the red carpet and travel the continent as an ambassador for MTV Base.
