WATCH STALLIONS DANCE TO ABBA CLASSICS
Join the South African Lipizzaners with a special performance of Mamma Mia. These stunning white stallions and their riders will perform to classics like “Super Trooper” and “Honey, Honey”. Fall in love with these dancing queens while enjoying a deluxe picnic basket and wine (this will will be available on the day) at the Mistico Equestrian Centre, in Paarl.

CELEBRATE WITH A LUNCH BY THE SEA
Join The Pavillion restaurant in The Marine hotel, in Hermanus, for a special Mother’s Day lunch. Spoil your mom with a four-course meal at a table overlooking the ocean. The menu features everything from yellowtail ceviche to Karoo lamb roast, ending on the sweet notes of a salted caramel opera cake or rose & raspberry Paris-Brest for dessert. TOUR STELLIES ON FOOT (FOR FREE)
Join Stellenbosch on Foot for a historical tour of the Eikestad. The town is filled with stunning art, and you’ll learn elements of its history, such as where Simon van der Stel set up camp in the Eerste Rivier and why the river is called that. The tour includes prime examples of Cape Dutch architecture, and stories about the town’s colorful inhabitants over the past three centuries.

JOIN AN EMPOWERING WORKSHOP
Being a super-mom can be exhausting at times, so if you’re a mom, treat yourself to an empowering workshop at Canal Walk. Transformation life coach Karen Burt will give useful tips about parenting and also open the floor to the guests. Listen to the stories of fellow moms and share your own experience at Momologue.

GO BACK IN TIME WITH THIS 80s PARTY
Dance and sing along to some of the best 80s music at The Barnyard Theatre, in Bellville. This rollicking performance takes place on a fully set stage, with high-tech sound and lighting. You’ll hear songs from Tears for Fears, The Pet Shop Boys, UB40 and many more. This is a dinner theatre, so you can order pizza and gourmet meals, along with drinks or coffee and snacks.

SHOP FOR GIFTS AT A THRIFT FEST
Shop till you drop for all the goodies a mom will love. This thrift fest in Observatory has over 60 stalls selling everything from handmade and pre-loved items, to coffee and jewellery. There’s also a playground for kids and the Observatory Community Centre is pet friendly.

SING, LAUGH AND DANCE AT THIS SHOW
