Why are witches always made out to be the villain?

Ever thought that there must be more to the story of Hansel and Gretel? Follow these two mischievous kids as they wander into a dark forest and stumble upon a sweetie house with something far less sweet inside. A live performance of Hansel and Gretel takes place on Friday 20 July 2018 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at The Playhouse Theatre in Somerset West.

This musical rendition of the classic German fairytale will see Hansel and Gretel venture into the gloomy woods where they meet mystical and woodland creatures and have an encounter with a wicked witch in a seemingly sweet house.

But, there’s more to the story in this rendition. Are witches always the villain? Head to this whimsical live production to see for yourself.

Tickets cost R80/p and entrance is free for kids under the age of 2 if sitting on a parent’s lap. Block bookings of 10 or more are R60/p.
