The Carnevol Has Come To Town

Dress horror-ifically and stand a chance to win big at Evol

Join Cape Underground as they debut two epic events - a goth-inspired night market and 2 OF HELL, a fusion of psychedelic DJs, Archive and Sonic. Join the organisers of Cape Town club, Evol, for a night of darkness, terror and dancing on 1 November. Plus, there’ll be great prizes up for grabs for best dressed.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE DARK, STAY AWAY
Cape Underground, Midnight Choas, and Oh my Goth! Flea Market have come together to create a goth-themed Halloween extravaganza that will scare and frighten you until you are screaming for more. If that’s not your scene then step aside because this event promises to submerge you in the wonderfully weird world of gothic culture, psytrance and metal beats, mixed in with market stalls selling leather, corsets, studs and every alternative accessory in between.

Expect to find DJs like Void, SVCCB1TCH, Myster-i, Mark Azmodeu, and headliner, 2 OF HELL, keeping the dancefloor open well past bewitching hour. The organisers also promise few wicked surprises for the evening, so make sure you get there early and stay late so you don’t miss out.

UPGRADE YOUR LOOK
The Oh my Goth! Night Market will be selling alternative fashion and accessories that cater specifically for the gothic and alternative communities. This is the first collaboration between the market and Cape Underground, so be sure to swing by and check out the goth-tastic stalls.

Midnight Choas, Zar Goth Emporium, Sad Shirts, and Markaba Creations (among others) will be setting up shop inside the venue, selling everything from fetish wear to spiked collar necklaces to T-shirts and jewellery. Sad Shirts specialises in designer T-shirts that celebrate everything horrific while Markaba Creations turns chainmaille and other metals into jewellery that is terribly beautiful, so to speak.

THE THEME IS CARNEVOL
However you interpret the theme, make sure you dress in your weirdest, freakiest, creepiest get-up to stand a chance of winning a Zar Goth Emporium hamper worth R600 and a T-shirt from Sad Shirts. Alternatively, just come as yourself and see how much it freaks people out. Tickets cost R60 on Quicket.com and R80 at the door.
