Flamed Burger sources only the best Halaal meat for their towering, flame-grilled burgers
When talking about the burger scene in Cape Town, it's not often that you're likely to hear Middle Eastern flavours mentioned in the same conversation, but Flamed Burger, a new eatery on Loop Street, is bringing something new to the table.
Owner-couple Lorinda and Oday Matour have one thing in mind – to create an exciting and affordable eating experience. Flamed Burger opened on 1 March 2018 is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with price points ranging from R25 – R115.
Having worked as a professional chef in Dubai and learning the essence of Middle Eastern cookery during her stint there, Lorinda is bringing a unique take on Cape Town's burger scene.
A look at the menu reveals items like the mac cheetoz burger (a flame-grilled patty topped with mac & cheese), arryas (a Middle Eastern dish consisting of a tortilla filled with ground meat and chopped onion), a board of fried halloumi cheese, son of a bun burger (a classic beef burger, the house specialty), the stoned chicken burger and suicide wings (spicy chicken wings served with dipping sauce). Breakfast items include the eggs with legs breakfast sandwich and a selection of smoothies including a pina cola version and the razzle dazzle, a fresh berry blend.
Flamed Burger is available on both Mr D and Uber Eats. Look out for our full feature coming soon. Make sure you sign up for our free newsletter.
