Every Year, Every Day, I am Walking is the Magnet Theatre's longest running play and is considered one of the most valuable performances in South African theatre today. It’s running at the Magnet Theatre in Observatory from 6–10 November for only five shows.
Mark Fleishman directs and Jennie Reznek and Faniswa Yisa perform in the production. Every Year, Every Day, I am Walking won awards in and outside South Africa and has been performed in 17 countries around the world including the UK, Brazil, Sweden, Germany, the USA, Japan and France.

THE STORY
Every Year, Every Day, I Am Walking traces the story of a young refugee in Africa who brutally loses family and home and is forced to journey through many dangers and uncertainties. It celebrates resilience and the healing power of the imagination.
BACKGROUND
The piece was created in September 2006 foreshadowing the first violent attacks on Somali nationals in the Western Cape.

A GOOD CAUSE
All proceeds from this run go towards the Magnet Theatre’s youth development programmes including The Culture Gangs Programme and the Full-time Training and Job Creation Programme.
