Knysna, but not the Knysna you think
Locals help us uncover the hidden treasures of this Garden Route gem
We like trees around us because of the beauty or shade they provide. Most of us respond to the presence of trees beyond simply observing their beauty. We feel serene, peaceful, restful and tranquil in a grove of trees.
Trees alter the environment in which we live by moderating climate, improving air quality, conserving water and harboring wildlife. By planting trees and shrubs, we return to a more natural environment.
Spier Wine Estate has joined the Maties 92.6 FM ‘Red Goes Green' campaign. The wine estate is known for its own sustainability efforts through its ‘In search of sustainability’ campaign and its website ‘The Spier Way.’
So get the family and friends together to get your hands dirty at Spier Wine Estate for a tree planting experience that tops all others.
And after the work is done, you can sit and relish in your work with a Spier Wine Tasting treat.
If this has tempted your eco ego, then be sure to read our overview on the Red Goes Green at Spier.
All participants will receive a Red Goes Green cap and T-shirt.
