Here’s how Cape Town is celebrating Women’s Day

Last updated: 2 August 2022
This month we celebrate national women's day, and there are loads of ways to spend Tuesday, 9 August here in Cape Town. Join a hackathon or a sunset hike with wine, spend the night laughing or learn some boss skills.
GO ON A SUNSET HIKE
For the adventurous (or anyone who enjoys wine with a view), join a full-moon hike, starting at sunset, at Muratie Wine Farm. Pack a picnic basket – you can buy wine by the glass or bottle from the farm; coffee is also available until 8pm. While you’re there, enter a lucky draw to win a Falke sock hamper. The route is 3.5km total and it can take up to 45 minutes to reach the picnic spot.
Date: Tuesday, 9 August 2022; from 4pm
Cost: R100 per adult, R50 for children under 10yrs (include permit for marked route to be done after hours)
