Cape Town has a sushi obsession – we’re known for having plenty of good spots that serve top notch fare for those craving the Japanese delicacy. Now, rumour has it that we’re getting a festival dedicated to this culinary treat sooner rather than later. The Cape Town Sushi Festival needs to be on your social calendar as it gets underway on Friday, 16 and Saturday, 17 December 2016.
This festival of all things sushi will be hosted at the Green Point Cricket Club and is suitable for the whole family. Think music, sushi, beer, wine and sun - sounds like a perfect afternoon. We don't have any info on exactly who is going to be at the festival (food vendors and musical acts) but have a quick look at their Facebook page (Capetownsushifestival) for more info.

We finally have the scoop, and this festival is the one we have all been waiting for! Not only will there be sushi from some of the best restaurants in Cape Town, but also a whole host of other treats. Say hello to an afternoon of craft beer tasting, wine pairings, and champagne lounges, all with a pretty sensational view!
While you're waiting for the event (and you've got a bit of a sushi craving), we’ve found a host of sushi spots you should try from our top 10 sushi spots and the places you need visit when looking for the tasty treats (on a budget) then have a squiz at this overview.
TICKETS FOR THE 2016 SUSHI FESTIVAL AT GREEN POINT CRICKET CLUB
