The Spice Girls are coming to South Africa to do a live concert in Cape Town and its coming up soon!
The Spice Girls appeared together for the first time since 1998 to unveil a brief world tour of concerts in support of a new greatest hits compilation. The all girl pop sensation have included a live concert in Cape Town as one of the few selected cities they will do concerts.
At a press conference in London's O2 arena, all five singers - Geri "Ginger" Halliwell, Melanie "Sporty" Chisholm, Melanie "Scary" Brown, Victoria "Posh" Beckham, and Emma "Baby" Bunton - appeared together for the first time in public since 1998, when Halliwell left the group.
Date of the Cape Town Spice Girls concert is 20 January 2008.
Dates and cities for the concerts of the full Spice Girls Tour: December 7 in Los Angeles. The tour will press on through Las Vegas (December 8), New York (11), London (15), Cologne (20), Madrid (23), Beijing (January 10), Hong Kong (12), Sydney (17), Cape Town (20), and Buenos Aries (21).
The group said the reunion is unlikely to become permanent.
At their first visit, Nelson Mandela admitted to being a great fan of the Spice Girls and one of his birthday wishes would be for them to play for him.
