Ocean Star Sailing Academy |
If you are an avid fisher or are keen to enjoy an ocean safari while your friends do the actual fishing, you will absolutely love the Ocean Star Sailing Academy fishing experience around Robben Island.
Leaving from the V & A Waterfront, the boat ride is an experience in itself with sightings of whales, dolphins, seals and the even the odd sunfish making for the most spectacular viewing. The waters around Robben Island are also rich in yellowtail and you could be the one to reel in one of those big boys!
There is honestly nothing better than a delicious fish braai after a day of sea and sun. If you’d like a hand with the scaling and gutting and the use of a gorgeous sun-lit patio in the V & A where you can reminisce over the day, drink in hand, while you enjoy your tasty catch, be sure to have a chat with the Ocean Star Sailing Academy team beforehand.
If you don’t have all the gear, don’t stress. You are provided with everything you need, from a fishing rod and tackle to a high-tech fish finder so that you don’t spend four hours reeling in kelp. All you need is you, some sunscreen and a hat. We checked, and yes, snacks are included because we all know how important snacks are.
COST AND BOOKING INFO FOR OCEAN STAR ACADEMY'S FISHING CHARTER SPECIAL
The fishing trip is for a maximum of five people with a going rate of R7450 but every Tuesday you are only going to pay R6705 for you and four of your friends to have an unforgettable fishing experience.
To qualify for your 10% discount, all you need to do is mention “CapeTownMagazine.com” when you book. It’s that simple!
