McGregor Apricot Carnival

The apricot harvest brings about great festivities in this timeless region, with all sorts of activities for young and old

For fun and excitement with the whole family, venture to the wonderfully dreamy village of Mcgregor. Situated in the majestic Breede River Winelands, it is home to rare beauty and colourful characters.

Just off the famous Route 62, Mcgregor will be putting on its party shoes as the Carnival parade heads down the main street to rousing music from its renowned brass band.

Sample the wares from stalls filled with quality art and crafts, tempting country bakes and fresh produce.

The apricot will feature in every imaginable way: fresh & dried, preserved and canned, juiced and spiked and filling dozens of mouthwatering treats to relish on the spot or to take home as Christmas gifts made with country flair.

Outdoor lovers can take to the hills on mountain bikes or hike one of many trails surrounding the village or even take a tour of the historic village.

Whether it's for the day or the weekend, the charm of this rustic village is sure to make you feel most welcome with its quaint ambience.
