Orphaned SOS children to benefit from a James Grace performance
James Grace, one of South Africa’s leading classical guitarists, will be performing in Cape Town with all proceeds going to SOS Children's Villages, an organisation supporting orphaned and abandoned children.
The concert is being staged at The Centre for the Book on Thursday 16 April 2009. For a mere R150 concertgoers can enjoy drinks and canapés prior to being treated to a high-calibre performance.
SOS’s Paul Senosi, Fund Development manager for SOS Cape Town comments, “We are particularly touched by James Grace’s philanthropic gesture and we are especially delighted that our children will benefit directly from his generosity. We’re hoping that the concert will not only raise money, but also awareness for the plight of orphaned children in our county and the lifesaving work of SOS Children’s Villages,” says Senosi.
