Inner City Muscle Car Show

Get revved up at this Heritage Square auto exhibition

Pure power, speed and the rumble of V8 engines are poised to overtake Cape Town for the very first Inner City Muscle Car Show – hosted by Detroit Vintage Garage – at Heritage Square on Saturday, 18 August 2012.

Grease your jeans and pull out the leathers; this inaugural auto exhibition looks to flaunt some of the Mother City’s hottest modern muscle machines, hot rods and custom bikes. Audiences can ogle at the chrome plated, polished exterior and leather covered seats of vintage vehicles, and in  between, can get inked by on-site tattoo artists, or can simply have a gander at the sexy pin-up outfits from Mandy Misshapp and the make-up from AnonaMiss Beauty

As if that wasn’t enough, some real-life smoking hot pin-up girls will be strutting between the venue and the nearby Detroit Vintage Garage, draping themselves over hot rods and muscle cars in a photo shoot to capture the essence of these…machines.

Food and refreshment stalls will keep those bellies full and thirsts quenched.

If you haven’t had enough, stay tuned for to the after-party at the Detroit Vintage Garage on Buitengracht Street (just diagonal from Heritage Square). Catch the South Africa VS Argentina rugby game on the big screens, and rock out to the live rockabilly band, Rat Rod Cats between 8pm and 10pm; resident DJs take over until 2am.

The car show starts at 1pm and entry is free, the after-party has a cover charge of R30p/p and starts when the car show finishes.
