The Gastronomica in Knysna is to show the amazing talent in this South African part of the world. Gastronomica aims to stimulate a sustainable tourism industry in and the Garden Route by providing an exciting focus on Knysna's growing reputation as a forward thinking culinary and tourist centre in South Africa.
24 September 2008 – Food Theatre
- Family fishing, kids fruit cocktails, bread baking, sweets & treats and art.
- Fish and beverages will be exhibited, demonstrated and tasted.
- There will be organic salads, bread, fruit, veggies and more, as well as health and beauty products.
- In the Lifestyle section sweets & treats, coffee, books and art will be found.
- The meat section will have new amazing organic beef, lamb and ostrich.
Entertainments all day...dance song and music.
25 - 27 September - two days of demonstrations.
- Workshops and talks by very special people.
- Interesting subjects like "should we take supplements" will be debated.
- New books launched and some of the recipes demonstrated and tasted.
- Understanding how to know what you are buying.
- And of course we must have chocolate...chocolate...chocolate!
