Diamond Lily Rings at Linde Collection

An exquisite nature-inspired jewellery range for women with an edge

Philip and Annemarie van der Linde, the shining couple behind exclusive boutique Linde Collection, are masters at hand-crafting high-end custom jewellery that’s both beautiful and bold, and the pair’s latest Diamond Lily range is no exception: the exquisite collection is sophisticated and luxurious but also somewhat unusual and daring, the perfect embellishment for a stylish women who wants to stand out.

Inspired by the colours and organic curves of nature, the line’s key feature is an intricate flower design that actually turns independently on its axis so that the precious stones that adorn the petals catch the light in different ways as the wearer moves. The mobility of the lilies also means that several rings – there are bangles, earrings and pendants too, but rings are the signature piece – can be stacked together neatly with flowers interlocking.

Aside from the fact that it allows for movement, what separates the collection from other floral ranges is that the ring band is slightly curved rather than straight (like natural plant stems) and the colour combinations of the stones and metals present striking contrasts. While the flagship option is white diamonds set in white gold, the series also comes in yellow and rose gold and the lilies are available set with sapphires, emeralds, rubies and black diamonds or any of a number of very rare gems, like the vibrantly green tsavorite or the fiery orange mandarin garnet (according to Annemarie, the look for the summer season is rose gold with tsavorite).

The meticulous craftsmanship of the designs also sets the collection apart. Annemarie pours time, passion and effort into perfecting the proportions and aesthetics of each individual piece, and all the stones are carefully selected from ethical sources to ensure fine jewellery of the highest quality.

And the buying experience at Linde Collection is very special too. The upmarket city centre store claims an intimate atmosphere and Philip and Annemarie ensure that every customer receives personal one-on-one attention – essentially, everyone leaves feeling like royalty.

While certain pieces in the Diamond Lily range are always on display in the front of the small boutique, if the exact item you’re looking for isn’t available, Annemarie can make alterations to existing jewellery in her on-site workshop almost immediately or she can custom-make a new ring, set of earrings, bangle or pendant from the flower range especially for you – an option that only adds to the appeal and sentiment of the piece.

Pricing of pieces in the Diamond Lily jewellery range at Linde Collection

Items in the Diamond Lily collection cost between R7500 and R25,000; consult Philip and Annemarie for the costs involved in alterations or bespoke designs. Should you wish to view the collection at the showroom, it’s advisable to phone ahead on +27 (0)21 422 0041 to arrange an appropriate time. Though, should you be in the area, you are welcome to walk in.
