Crystal Nexus Change 2012 is the first annual eco festival to take place in the iconic Spitzkoppe National Park in Namibia from the 4 – 8 July.

So if you missed out on Afrika Burn in the Tankwa Karoo National Park, but still have that fiery desire to drive into the middle of nowhere and beyond (you could always fly), then the Crystal Nexus Change EcoEvent is for you.

What is Crystal Nexus Change all about?
Crystal Nexus Change is the first ever Eco Music festival to take place in Namibia, and it aims to create an environment of freedom and interconnectedness. Additionally, the event looks to cultivate an awareness of the diversity of nature – a point no doubt driven home by way of the haunting desert setting. This gathering will not be an isolated event, but rather a constantly evolving ideal, changing from each event to the next, spreading the word on environmental awareness, love and unity. 

If we need to break it down to brass tacks though, it’s essentially an eco friendly outdoor music festival situated in the extraordinarily beautiful Spitzkoppe National Park. The dramatic desert landscape features monolithic rock formations rich with crystal content which add to the good vibrations.  Music genres include an inspiring mix of classical, melodic trance, progressive, tech, full on and the usual suspects by top South African, Namibian and international DJS including Lox, Connecto, SwiTcHcaChe and plenty more.

Stretching over five days, the festival has plenty on offer: art installations, fire dancers (and all the usual trance tricksters), chill areas, crystal specialists (after all this is the birthplace of many of the crystals spread throughout the world), multiple dance floors, food stalls, kindergarten... and plenty of nature.
