CODA Launch New Album at Cape Quarter in Greenpoint

Fans of South African music are in for a treat when the country's hottest fusion band CODA launch their second album

Popular South African band CODA will launch their much-anticipated second album - African Renaissance - on 28 November at the Cape Quarter in Greenpoint.

Based in Cape Town, CODA is a versatile fusion band that’s generated much excitement within the South African music industry.

Their distinctive sound gained immediate popularity among an astonishingly broad range of audiences – CODA’s diversity has resulted in a new style of South African music that appeals to audiences from Soweto to Paarl, from Gugulethu to Bloemfontein and from Dubai to the Seychelles.

Coda is a unique collaboration between vocalist Yolanda Yawa, electric cellist Carol Thorns, saxophonist Judy Brown, electric violinist Cristina Chiselev, dancer and backing vocalist, Amanda Martins, and House DJ Nick Matthews.

Their popularity has been cemented since the release of their debut album Believe, with several tracks being playlisted by radio stations throughout the country such as KFM, Metro FM, East Coast Radio, Radio 2000, Radio Sonder Grense, Maties FM and others.

CODA is currently recording African Renaissance with renowned producer and song-writer, Gabi Le Roux.
