Watch the GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World Grand Arena unfold into a sporting showground when it plays host to the 2016 World Junior Table Tennis Championship tournament from Wednesday, 30 November to Wednesday, 7 December 2016.

The tournament allows spectators to witness 19 countries going head-to-head in the hope of being crowned the world’s best junior table tennis champs. The Championship is limited to an entry of 96 boys and girls in total, where the top 14 ranked contestants will automatically qualify for the big games.
Contenders will be competing in individual and group categories, with the individual games taking place first. A total of 96 boys and girls will compete, where the top 14 ranked players will automatically qualify. Each of the qualifying countries will be allocated a maximum of four players and as Mzansi is the host country, we are allocated a maximum of six players. The ranking points will be accumulated through participating in the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) sanctioned circuit competitions.
“GrandWest is honoured to play host to the 2016 World Junior Table Tennis Championship for the first time. A great supporter of sport, especially amongst the youth, GrandWest looks forward to hosting the young competitors later this year. We encourage the community to be part of the action by coming down to support the players,” said by Elouise Matthys, PR and Promotions Manager at GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World
