Grab the kids and jump back to the Jurassic period at this awesome interactive edutainment activity - now in Augmented and Virtual Reality! If your little one learned to say ‘Tyrannosaurus Rex’ before he or she mastered ‘please’ or ‘thank you’, the only place you need to take them this summer is the Augmented Reality DinosAlive dinosaur exhibition and play park at the CapeGate Shopping Centre – a first in SA. The prehistoric showcase will definitely leave your children amazed and in awe.

The whole family is invited to journey back to the prehistoric period for a day of entertainment and education from Wednesday, 6 December 2017 to Sunday, 14 January 2018.

The expo combines cutting-edge technology with educational elements to deliver a truly immersive dinosaur experience. Children and adults will have the opportunity to learn about the T-Rex, Velociraptor, Stegosaurus, Triceratops and the Parasaurolophus by interacting with these creatures on a big screen and their phone or tablet and by gathering information from computer-generated Dinos! The exhibition will offer 5 interactive AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) experiences including a giant interactive dino screen, virtual TRex Experience, VR Dino tour and dino edu-table.

In short, there’s plenty to keep kids distracted even if they don’t find Earth’s former custodians all that interesting or menacing, and if they do, it goes without saying that this is a dino lover’s wonderland.

Tickets to the edutainment exhibition are available online via Webtickets, or at the door. Tickets are R65 per person.

The exhibition is open daily from 10am to 7pm.
